4 Blondes to Row Across Atlantic
Not big into ocean rowing, but I found this interesting, mostly because of the 4 blondes headline. The “Atlantic Angels” are rowing across the Atlantic and aiming to break two records: the first, the fastest crossing by an all female crew, and the second by the youngest person to cross. Rachel Flanders, age 17, is still in high school and has only rowed for 6 months!
As part of the project, the Angels are also setting a fundraising goal of a quarter million pounds to go towards cancer research. They’re asking for donations of ten pounds per person via their website, and each donor can post a picture online and have it printed and attached to the hull of the boat! Hence, the name of the vessel, “Faceboat.”
The Angels are set to launch in 61 days.
