Review: www.ErgScores.com
Check out this website: www.ergscores.com.
This is a new online erg training log. Similar in concept to the training log at concept2.com, ergscores.com is packed with features and has a Google-type aesthetic…that is all text, with an emphasis on functionality. A few of the cool features: the ability to select workouts and create graphs; create and track goals; social features, like the frontpage displaying the latest workouts from other folks in the community (so you can see what other people are doing), and the ability to “tag” so you can quickly call up groups of similar workouts. You can even export your log into an excel file, and if want to transfer from your concept2 log to ergscores.com, you can mport your old log. Nice.
So what’s the con of switching over from C2 to ergscores.com? Well, if you have an account on concept2, you know the best part of the whole deal are the online rankings, where bragging rights are always up for grabs among clubs and colleges. There’s a huge indoor community already on concept2 and that helps makes the online journaling experience fun. It might be a long time before ergscores.com takes off in terms of users, so you won’t get the same experience at the moment. But, if you’re into high tech gadgets, then ergscores.com could be a nice alternative. I would suggest making an account on both.
Ergscores was created by Jeff Wagner, a rowing alumni of University of San Diego. Accounts on the site are easy to set up and completely free, and there are no ads. Jeff is constantly improving and adding features. Want a new feature? Just email him.

Ben,
Thanks for the review! We’ll be rolling out more features before the fall season kicks into high gear. We’re always looking for new ideas…
